Controversial Issues

There are so many controversial issues in the world and people chose to base their entire life on fighting those issues. When really they are making the issue worse.
Some issues off the top of my head:
- Global Climate change
- Abortion
- Racism
- Religion

My thoughts:
- Global Climate Change:
It is happening, people can say it is not but there is proof. Take last year (2010) in the early months of last year it snowed in California. And the summer in North Carolina got hotter than usual. So yes the climate is changing and it always will be so just get over it.

- Abortion:
I say it is wrong, you are killing an innocent being. No one should get an Abortion but I think people should have a right to choose to get one. No one should be made to keep something cause there are certain times when abortion is needed. There are times when the baby can kill the the mother or the baby is a still born and so on and so forth. So yes I think it is wrong but I'm not going to say you can't have an abortion I don't care what the situation is because I do. I'm not going to have some women die because she couldn't get and abortion. Thats just wrong.

- Racism:
Okay this is a very touchy subject but I will say this. I was in K- Mart the other day and I was talking to some people in the story. This one lady had brought up that CMS was planning on using Martin Luther King day as a snow make up day. And I thought that they shouldn't do that and the same lady said that "All I have to say is that they don't have a holiday to honor white people." And all I could think was what did we do to get a holiday. I mean yes we are trying to "better" life and all this other stuff. But look at what we did to the African Americans and the Native Americans. We pushed the Native Americans off there land so that us greedy people could have more land. We stole something that wasn't ours and even though a lot of us now it was wrong we never really did anything to give back to the Native Americans. And the African Americans we took from their home land and made them our slaves. We worked them to death it no wonder that we aren't there slaves now or that they completely hate us.
Honestly come one America we claim to be the home of the free when really we are full of racism and hatred towards people that disagree with us. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

- Religion:
This is also a touchy subject. So, about six years ago I moved to North Carolina and as soon as I moved in everyday some one coming to my door asking to join there church. No at first I didn't have a problem with it but with a week of different people coming to my door it gets annoying. I am a Christian, some people would not call me one but I am. I have a church that I like but I will not push my religion on other people. I'm sorry if that sounds completely wrong but I don't care. People have stuff that they believe in and stuff they don't believe in. in some cases God is one of the things people don't believe in. And there isn't anything people can do about it.
Yes America was founded on Christian Principles but not everyone in American is going to be Christian. We are after the home of the free right? Well sometimes we don't act like it. Also another thing prayers at games or other places doesn't apply to everyone. You do not have to listen to it or accept it but do not sue someone for saying a prayer at a game. Just cause a prayer is said in your presence doesn't mean they are pushing their religion on you. Just deal with the fact that the world doesn't revolve around you. People can't go around and ask every person they meet if they believe in God and Jesus Christ before they say a prayer. Honestly get over the fact that people have different views on life and religion, don't try to change people because they think or act differently.
